How to report a badly parked Lime scooter or e-bike

Lime runs shared e-bikes and e-scooters in cities across Australia, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. The quickest way to get a badly parked Lime vehicle moved is Lime's own in-app Help flow; Lime also has a web form for people who do not have the app.

What to include

If Lime does not respond

Contact the council or transport authority that permits shared scooters in your city. Councils hold the operator's permit conditions and usually have an escalation contact, and many have their own reporting form for badly parked hire vehicles. If the vehicle is blocking a road or a crossing and is an immediate danger, contact your local authority or emergency services as appropriate.

You can also report it here: a moderator checks reports and forwards them to the operator on your behalf, and the report appears on the public map so councils and operators can see where problems cluster.

Questions

How do I report a Lime scooter without the app?

Use the Lime Help Center article's contact form (help.li.me), or the reporting form for your city if one is listed above. Include the vehicle ID, a photo, the address and the time.

Where is the Lime vehicle ID?

Lime's Help Center says the plate number is under the QR code. On Lime scooters it is often on the rear mudguard and is a letter followed by four or five digits.

What if Lime does not move the scooter?

Contact your local council or the transport authority that permits shared scooters in your city. Many councils have a dedicated hire-scheme reporting channel and can escalate to the operator.
